Linguistic Aspects of Romanian in Filotei sin Agai Jipei's Catavasiary is a contribution to the enrichment of linguistic analysis of the texts used in Byzantine music manuscripts. In her paper the author presents convincing evidence that Filotei's catavasiary is a work that is important not only for its impact on the evolution of Romanian byzantine chant but also for its testimony as to the qualities of literary texts used in religious writings of the 18th century.
