Notes and Documents Regarding the Use of Worship Language in the Voivodal Church of Scheii Brasovului is a synthesis of documentary evidence found in Transylvania in the Old Church Slavonic, Greek and Romanian languages and covering a period of time from early 16th to late 19th century. This evidence is particularly sustained through the works of deacon Coresi and master Oprea of Scheii Brasovului in the 16th century and Ioan sin Radului Duma Brasoveanu with his Psaltichie rumāneasca (Romanian psalm singing book) in the 17th century, and sheds new light on the assumed synchronicity and consonance of Transylvanian Orthodox Church Music with that of Moldavia and Wallachia.
