Byzantine Chant Manuscripts in the Library of the Bishopric of Roman is a synthesis of research carried out on the manuscripts of church music belonging to the Library of the Bishopric of Roman in Middle Moldavia. Based on meticulous method and including a considerable effort aimed at organizing and systematizing the materials reviewed, this paper is offered as an invitation to deeper studies which would lead to the rewarding certainty that the patrimony of Romania's religious musical culture would see its richness grow and its significance heightened.
