Composers of Church Music in the Byzantine Tradition Found in the Manuscripts of Father Andronic from Noul Neamt (New Neamt) Monastery

Composers of Church Music in the Byzantine Tradition Found in the Manuscripts of Father Andronic from Noul Neamt (New Neamt) Monastery is an attempt at an analytical inventory of the manuscript legacy of hieromonk Andronic, the abbot of Noul Neamt Monastery in Eastern Moldavia (Bessarabia). The manuscripts contain byzantine chant written in the Chrysanthine notation usually exhibiting Romanian text written with the Cyrillic alphabet. Some Greek texts are also encountered. The names of 18 composers, Greek and Romanian psalts of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods have been recorded.
